Now we all thought sending Dora to the gallows was just a big joke.... until the birthday girl's mom went for the throat - literally. Sure, pregnant women may be a bit unstable... but beheading your daughter's icon at her own birthday party!?!? Wow. That's taking things to a whole new level of hormonal imbalance.
(Tori is in the bottom right corner - after the actual beheading watch her hand start to quiver before the scream ever gets past her lips...)
Well Tori, if it makes you feel any better you're not going to be the only Billows cousin to be spending the next few decades on a therapist's couch.
After the tremendous success with Dora's decapitation we headed over to the next fun-filled adventure: Pumpkin Painting
Moments after starting the little chiquita on the left decided to paint her tongue purple. Her parents did the simultaneous "NOOOOO!" which sent her into a tailspin which in turn sent Tori into her second meltdown of the day.
Keri you are ROCKIN' this birthday party!
(oh, and that's a green M&M in Tori's mouth - she hadn't attempted any dental decorating)
OK, OK... all kidding aside (c'mon - there was NO way those gems weren't making it to the blog!!) the pumpkin painting was highly awesome - the kids loved it.
What? You don't like abstract expressionism?!
Go suck your binky & leave me to my canvas d'gourd.
She waited patiently enough (well sorta... until she kicked me out of my chair) but finally the biggest kid of the group got her turn with a pumpkin.
Lest another cartoon character try to invade this house be forewarned - this is your fate.
Cake time!!
ffffffffllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppttttt
You're never too young to learn how to double fist it.
A lovely fami.... wait a minute!?!
*sigh*
You guys are ALL class.
We were standing opposite the top of the slide when all of a sudden we see this white-blonde-blue-eyed periscope staring across at us - it was PRECIOUS!!! Of course I didn't have my camera at the ready so it's a couple of seconds after the fact... but it was too cute of a moment not to catch.
Adrienne asked Keri to do makeup with her the MINUTE we got there (the child has NO shame!!!). Since Keri was a little preoccupied trying to send each and every wee-one into a shrink's office Aunt Tammy did her up at the end of the night.
Looks like some caught-in-the-act-tabloid-photo.
I think the stars in the tabloids have on just about this much makeup too...
In the 80's they used to put their blush on down here. Silly mommies. They just didn't know how to put makeup on as well as we do.
Logan was transfixed through the whole process... watching as the girls revealed more and more colors, glosses, brushes, applicators... FASCINATING!
(That's ok Logan.... you dig the makeup & Nick digs the bangle bracelets. The 2 of you can swap beauty secrets next time we get together)
Ninety-nine red balloons / Floating in the summer sky
Panic lads, it's a red alert / There's something here from somewhere else
The war machine springs to life / Opens up one eager eye
Focusing it on the sky / Ninety-nine red balloons go by
Back to reality. He didn't find the classic 80's tune quite as appropriately amusing as we all did...
So we gave him another balloon. A yellow one, which he REFUSED to let us tie to his belt loop.
Annnnnndddddd..... guess what.
We didn't have any great song to bust out this time.
"My bahhhh-LOOOOOONNNNNN. I want my bahhhh-LOOOOOOONNNNN!!!!"
No one was leaving this shin-dig without getting traumatized. It was clearly Nick's turn.
Nothing says time-to-wind-down like unwrapping the stockpile of Tori's birthday gifts.
Making sure her baby doll fits in her new crib. Yup! Just right!
Happy birthday gorgeous!!!!!!!!
