Our weekly Friday dinner together went from the usual pizza-for-4 to resort style amenities and gourmet meal for 9.
It started off casual enough - with the kids in the baby pool - and a LOT of jumping.
Getting the video wasn't adorable enough - I managed to snag a few great still sequence shots. And heaven knows she jumped enough to give me PLENTY of opportunites.
One more time! (more like 12 more times...!)
Now here's where things started to get crazy. Yiayia suggested putting the slide in the pool - brilliant!
However Tori was NOT willing to give up her teacups to climb.
For every 3 times she slid off the back steps because she refused to put the teacups down she actually got to go down the slide.
Hey young lady! Aren't you supposed to wait until everyone clears away from the end of the slide!?
Guess we'll have to work on that playground rule a little more... I can't believe those 3 chubbers didn't pop the pool!
What to comment on here....!?
My 2 'older and wiser' children being sassy to their younger cousin by sticking out their tongues... or Tori's wedge that's so far up her crack NASA is considering reconvening to try landing on THAT moon!
Oh! And I should mention that Yiayia trumped her OWN awesome idea with yet another one! You can't see it but she propped the hose up on the top step. So it was no longer just a regular ol' slide into the pool, it turned into a WATER slide into the pool.
As for this sequence, I can't figure out how she worked up enough....
... speed in less than 2 feet...

After all that jumping, sassing and sliding the crew worked up a huge appetite and helped Papou make a delicious dinner - as if we expected anything less when Papou commendeers the kitchen. Tori wasn't much of a help though... she was too busy GOOSING NICK! (no seriously, that's EXACTLY what she was doing right here!!)
Being that Aunt Keri is completely hip and knows everything that is super cool in Adrienne's world she pointed out that she was a spot on match to one of her FAVORITE superstars... Marina from The Fresh Beat Band!
(and if you don't know who she is or who they are.... consider yourself VERY lucky)
But it is true... she happened to have a side pony (which Marina often dons) and the dress from Yiayia really is a miniture version of Marina's!
Two days later we're back at Yiayia's for belated Friday-turned-Sunday-night-pizza.
Now if anyone else gave this hot pink fur makeup kit (complete with REAL makeup) to Adrienne I would say no-way-no-how. But being that Adrienne worships the ground Keri walks on and Keri completely eats it up I let it slide. BUT the rule is: She's ONLY allowed to play with the makeup kit WITH Aunt Keri. So here's her first lesson in applying makeup fit for Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
