June

Everyone keeps saying how Adrienne looks like me & Nick looks like Greg. I just CANNOT figure out where they get that idea....

At the Ahepa (aka Old Greek Guys) Picnic. Adrienne danced with just about anyone who walked by but it was with Cassandra that she really rocked it out. All they needed was a mosh pit.

Miles upon miles of grass to run free...

Sweetness...

Everyone was just smitten with Nick. I even allowed a pic or 2 to be taken of me with him...

Corinne was very excited that she got to hold Nick.... in as much as he can be 'held'. He's a brut.

Having a ball.

The best 'cousins' shot of the day. I took about 20. This is the only one where you can kinda see everyone's face. But somehow we ended up with an extra kid. And a lovely view of the loo.

And the debate rages on... To whom does Adrienne's golo belong??!
(golo = Greek for tush)

Someone gave her this dress as a welcome-to-the-world gift. I have been WAITING for the day when she finally fits in it - TOO precious!
Nice Al Bundy pose.

My anal little child. Can't imagine where she gets it from...
(check out Nick stalking her cars)

(Nick stalking her Legos...)

It's not just that they are positioned on 4 symmetrical points but they're also all facing the same way. Scary. So scary.

Nick's first dip in the pool.

It was a big dip.

After the big dip it was bathtime. And since it was a solo bath (Greg & Adrienne were still splashing around in the pool) what better way to spend the time than playing hair stylist. We started with the classic mohawk.
Moved on to the Superman curl...
And wrapped it up with Baby Einstein.
Last night Nick was sound asleep. He suddenly sat up, slloowwlly teetered around like a drunken frat boy at 3am on a Saturday and then fell foward. Face first. Still asleep.

ChildTime's summer camp program begins today complete with bright orange tshirts for all the campers. And to celebrate the start of Camp CT Adrienne dressed Nick up in drag.

And the back of the tshirt - 'No Limits". That's a bold statement for a group of kids the oldest of which is 4. What are they going to be doing... Base jumping?? spelunking?? Rock climbing??
And THIS is why I think Nick needs a haircut.

Fresh out of the bath, matching wife-beater-onesies, such excitement over the catepillar song starting on Baby Art and a big ol' bowl of 1970's stove top style Jiffy Pop. Good times.

On Friday, Greg & Adrienne got stuck in the car waiting for a train to pass. She talked about a choo choo train NON-STOP for the next 2 days. So our big Father's Day outting: I dropped them off at the New Brunswick train station & picked them up at Metro Park.

(don't mind Adrienne's radioactive glow - Greg got a new cell phone & hasn't figured out the camera just yet...)
Let's recap: crawling on 6/7, pulling himself up to a wobbly stand on 6/13 and now a 1-handed stand (well, sorta)!? He can actually go between furniture now - like couch to table, dresser to crib. He's going to be walking ANY day. We're so screwed with 2 of them on the move.

Another rite of passage: Discovering the stairs.

Nick... what's so funny!?

Silly Monkey
"This morning I ate Cheerios and yogurt and puffs and... dang cat moves too fast!"

Torn between watching Adrienne outside and catching the cat. But also doing my FAVORITE little-kid-pose. I love when they sit like this... too cute!

His new favorite place and toy. Watching him try to use a Sit & Spin as balance to stand is just too funny.

Having SUCH fun in the bath!
Until.......

Greg decided to play the bloody nose game with the girl who cries for an hour if you just LOOK at her wrong. Great idea. Thank you.

SOOOO big
Adrienne's bedtime routine:
Run around the upstairs playing 'gotcha', brush her teeth, drink from a Dixie cup, get in bed, read 3-4 books, sing, prop her stuffed animals along the sides of the bed, tuck her in to her princess blanket, several rounds of "s'agapo mommy I love you too mommy" (she thinks it's 1 long phrase) and then I might FINALLY get out the door.
Nick's bedtime routine:
He shuts his eyes.

Obi Ade Kenobi

And have I ever mentioned her addiction to lotion...?

I completely forgot how Adrienne would 'read' the Sunday paper. So glad Nick is an early reader too.

Nick is fond of grabbing random cables from the TV / DVD player / cable box area. I pulled him away to tuck all the wires back in, turned around & found him standing STANDING at the living room table. I ran to get the camera but just as I snapped the picture he fell down. STANDING!? C'mon! He just figured out how to crawl on 6/7... today is the 13th! I need a little more than 6 days to adjust to him being on the move before the kid is table-top-danger!!

About to eat dinner the other night I threw her hair up in a twist. I've tried to replicate this do about 20 times since then. Apparently she's got the same hair I do - it will only look fabulous when no one is looking. *sigh*

Another 'little lady' moment... we weren't feeding her the corn salsa fast enough so she snatched the SERVING bowl and helped herself from there.

The other day there was a knock at the door. It was Anthony (as in the shirtless guy with the goatee & tats)... "Can Adrienne come out & play?" Forget Adrienne... he has the whole neighborhood coming out to watch his daily bubble shows.

He's officially on the move.

Nick starting his day with a little yoga - demonstrating Downward Facing Dog.

Making Mrs. Roper proud.
